Disclaimer

This page sets out the limits of the information and calculator provided on Gratuity Calculator UAE. Read it before relying on any content or calculator output from this website.

Which Calculator Applies to You

The main gratuity calculator covers UAE private sector employees under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021. This includes mainland employees and employees in most free zones, which follow the same MOHRE rules. ADGM employees can also use the main calculator. Tick the ADGM Employee checkbox to remove the two-year cap that applies under mainland rules.

Two employment categories fall outside the main calculator. DIFC employees are covered by the DIFC Employee Workplace Savings scheme, not the standard formula. They should check their DEWS account balance directly.

Domestic workers also fall under a separate legal framework. This main gratuity calculator does not apply to them.

Tools and Calculator Results

The tools and calculator on this website produce estimates only. It does not produce a legally binding figure. Individual outcomes may vary based on contract terms, employer policy, and specific employment circumstances.

Do not treat tool or calculator results as your final entitlement figure. If your employer disputes your calculation, consult a qualified UAE labour law professional. You can also file a query or complaint directly with MOHRE.

Voluntary End-of-Service Savings Scheme

If your employer has enrolled in the voluntary savings scheme under Cabinet Resolution No. 96 of 2023, the main gratuity calculator does not apply to you. Your benefit comes from monthly fund contributions, not the Article 51 formula. Check your scheme balance directly with your employer or fund provider.
